I could say yes and no and give a huge explanation but no I think you nailed it, it is not that they don't enjoy it as I do but when they tell you they enjoy you can actually feel it means something to them just as it does to you even if it is for different reasons, I've always loved Beatles and Radiohead, I just don't like their music to be taken lightly, for example when Radiohead finally came to Mexico everyone was talking about it, I was excited but not that excited because I had the oportunity to see them live a couple of years before, when the concert came most people didn't knew most of the songs... Anyway just sayin... no offense intended to anyone, I've seen many people in this site are quite sensible to different opinion around here...

So, forgive me but...it's not that the music of The Beatles and Radiohead is not as good as the praise it gets, it's that people who don't know as much as you about music like them that bothers you.

okay I understood your point because I would probably have Arcade Fire in an all time album chart but think they are massively overrated. But I still wouldn't say they were one of the 5 most Over-rated bands of all time, that wouldn't make sense to me.

Obviously overratedness is based on: your perception of how much other people value something versus how much you think said thing should be valued, therefore If you are calling something overrated you think it should be held in lower esteem than it generally is. Yet if you have said thing (lets say its an album) in a place where you value it (let's say a chart) how can you complain at other people who do the same thing? Unless of course you have created for yourself a reliable and valid measure of over-ratedness where you can pick the degrees of difference between your opinion of an artist/album and someone else's.
