On the end of this decade, I can see radiohead's new album over Arctic Monkeys' top album, I guess.

I see AMSP making it into the top 50 eventually. It is one of their top 5 albums, so it'll definitvely be the top album of the year, the real question is where it will end up. Blackstar is a good album, but most of the attention it's received was because it is Bowie's last. It might reach the top 200, but mid 200s is my guess. Kendrick's album is really good, but not on the mevel of his last two and really feels like an in between EP, which is what it is. Pablo won't come close to those three, and nothing else thats come out this yar has been much to mention. Interesred in new RHCP album, and the possible NIN album this year, but don't see either of them threatening AMSP for top ranking for 2016.

Right Now, if the one year gap was not applicable..Blackstar would probably have just reached past the top 500 and i am not so sure on how much farther it can reach past that. A Moon Shaped Pool at the moment would be in the 400-425 Rank right now. A Moon Shaped Pool over a year or two will most definitely be placed in the top 100, it just needs to be given time just as i believe with To Pimp A Butterfly which will make it soon. Kendrick right now would be on the low side of the Top 2000. Untitled Unmastered i feel is anticipating a top 1000 for sure. After that i don't see anything else happening. Kanye's Pablo will be regarded as the worst album of his discography (maybe will beat 808's?)

I'm thinking that A Moon Shaped Pool can definitely make it to the top 100, as it is in the range of at least Top 5 albums, which would make it higher than Amnesiac, which is 102 currently on BEA. And considering a decent amount of people do like it more than at least one of the top 4 Radiohead albums, it has potential to be in the top 50 of BEA after a while.

I've literally never heard of Car Seat Headrest, will have to check that out.

Also I dunno about others but I'm not gonna check new Swans in light of some rather grimm circumstances.

The rankings are relatively close as is (Bowie ahead 889 to 791), but if you look at overall charts, which aren't factoring in yet (and hold significantly greater weight), Radiohead is ahead 77 to 62. Plus they're Radiohead.

Radiohead owns 4 of the top 16 slots on BEA. Given that Moon is one of their better efforts, the answer seems inevitable.

I certainly haven't done a great job keeping up with new music this year, but I have to say it's a little disheartening to go to the 2016 chart and see that the top 4 albums belong to David Bowie, Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar, and Kanye West.

yeah it'll def be a moon shaped pool. not to sound flippant, but certainly much of they hype surrounding blackstar was augmented by bowie's death, which won't last as long as the acclaim that radiohead are getting for their album.

(also, moon shaped pool is just better... right?)
