VU and Nico, though there's a strong case for Blonde On Blonde. Also, Hwy 61 and Are You Experienced? should definitely not be ignored.

Among that group, Jimi was the slam dunk choice--nothing else comes close.

But the list itself was sooooo lacking. No Kinks, no Moody Blues, no Zeppelin. Disgraceful.

Will have to wait...forever to see this... 😄

In this case: VU & Nico / Pet Sounds, so I abstain.

Sgt. Pepper gets the vote. It's the only album of the decade I've heard five times.

Weirdly, on the contrary I've listened to albums 1-7 over five times each.

Heard VU&N about 50 times. Vinyl on a Sunday morning is perfect, and that is always my first choice (no questions needed, surely?)

However, there are so many 60s albums that I've heard up to about 20 times that manage to be lower in my chart than 90s/00s albums I've only heard about 5-10 times because I just find more enjoyment in them. 60s albums are generally boring (controversial opinion), I never find anything new in them and I never appreciate anything more on them than I did the first time. This is what I think of Sgt. Pepper, my impression of it has not improved since the first few listens, in comparison to Hospice which at about the tenth listen still surprises me and shocks me.

The sixties is probably the best decade, but I don't really see eye-to-eye with a large chunk of 60s music in the long-term.

Haha I feel it! When I saw the title of the thread, I was ready to answer with "The Doors," but then I also had that "oh wait" moment.

It's Sgt. Pepper. It's my favorite album of all time. It always gets my vote.

Would have been nice to see Let It Bleed too, but I'd still vote for Revolver.
