Have you heard Blink's ToyPaJi or MCR's The Black Parade? Blink-182 is usually good at actually understanding what it's like to be the goofball, and embraces it while also really showing deeper understanding of it "I know that this behavior is immature, and I just don't care I'm having a good time leave me alone" also Stay Together for the kids and Adam's song show they can actually be serious without feeling like they're pandering (as opposed to any of Simple Plan's "serious songs" which all totally suck.) It really feels like Blink is making the music they want to make. (No Defense for All the Small things, because it kinda sucks)

The Black Parade is a great concept album IMO, it takes influences from 70's rock acts (Specifically Pink Floyd and Queen) and early pop punk acts, and is able to throw in an interesting story, and some good music, without seeming too whiny. And it also feels like the guys are having some fun and not getting to caught up in being over dramatic.

I'd have to agree. Blink 182 is the only pop punk band that deserves any kind of respect.

Raditude by Weezer is probably the worst album I've listened to in full, but I think a lot of that has to do with how good Weezer was in the 90s and how far down they sank in the 2000s. It's still a shitty album though.

I agree.

Worst album ever... hmm...

Good luck getting through that. .

Actuallythis album rules. I think Dargondrokovic nails it in the album comments when he states...

Quote:

A lot of critics, music lovers in general didn't get this album. Some people hated it, some loved it. Most where dissapointed - therefor it didn't get alot of hype and popularity.
The listeners who didn't like it saw it as a serious deep lo-fi album that turned into an experimental psychotic comedy rock circus.
To me personally, it's a fucking masterpiece.
Star Power got it all. They got the 70's retro throwback plastic soul theme, chaos. Good tunes all over, impossible to get bored listening to it. Is it a mess? Yes, it's a bloody mess.
Do you like mess? No? You don't like The Beatles White Album's lazy setlist? No Frank Zappa We're only in it for the money? Exile on Main Street?
Stop underrating this album, think it trough and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.
It's fucking STAR POWER!

I pretty much agree with his assessment. I totally get those who hate it though.

Good luck getting through that. Actually according to my ratings, Tubular Bells is the only album I've given a 5/100, but there are apparently a lot of people who like that album.

I also thought of Raditude. Absolute dogshit. I hated every single track. After those three great '90s Weezer albums, I didn't think Rivers was even capable of such a lazy, terrible effort.

Ok maybe it's not the worst album ever, or even the worst Metallica album, but I truly hate this album. Its like the band became a parody of themselves at this point. Lars' drumming is atrocious on this album, Kirk's solos are bland penatonic noodling overly relying on wah, and James says "Yeahahah" way too much. Just rubbish. Cliff would be ashamed. If you want a more commercial release from a thrash metal band, get Countdown to Extinction by Megadeth.

Totally agree. I was a massive Metallica at the time and was totally stunned when I bought this. Completely loathed it at the time. I really haven't listened to any new Metallica since. lol.

I really like countdown to extinction too.

Anything that could be called "metalcore." Most things that are [anything]-core actually.

Avril Lavigne. Blink 182. Good Charlotte. Sum 41. My Chemical Romance. Pretty much any poppunk is self-defeating and emo stuff is usually childish. There's some really embarrassing power metal, hair metal, and speed metal.

^^^ please skip to 3:50, there's a good minute of cringe there.

What first came to mind though were disappointing albums from good bands... The Velvet Underground's Squeeze is so bad that no one considers it a VU record, and here's more:

This'll sound meme-y, but Speedin' Bullet to Heaven by Kid Cudi is still the only album I've listened to that I couldn't finish due to boredom. So that's the one I'd put - there's plenty of bad albums, but mostly I just never bother with them. That one got such bad reviews I was curious (and was a little surprised to find it really was that bad).
