#1 is dope of course. Françoise Hardy, Scott Walker, Pharoah Sanders, Patty Waters, Max Roach, Tom Ze, Os Mutantes, Moondog, Gal Costa, The Monks, Terry Riley, Karen Dalton, plenty of Coleman... can't really complain.

Wasn't expecting The White Album to be their fav Beatles... odd. And The Doors is tragically low. Trout Mask Replica was a tad low as well, but it looks like they weren't too big into Zappa at all...

I'd say there are 30-40 albums I haven't heard... looking forward to queueing some up. Overall, digging the list, super solid.

I'm really surprised Trout Mask Replica wasn't in there. I mean that seems like a no-brainer. And TWO Velvet Underground albums in the top ten. That's fricken' amazing. And any list that has Karen Dalton rules, right?

Really weird that Music from The Big Pink is not there though. Again, that seems like a no-brainer.

And there was no Tim Buckley at all? That seems crazy! Looks like my chart is better after all. lol

Wow! This list rules. One of the best lists I've ever seen tbh. And perhaps Pitchfork's best. I've always been huge fan of Pitchfork's lists & ratings (just not their reviews) from the beginning, and this may be their best.

Pet Sounds, Highway 61, Sgt Pepper, VU&N, Revolver will be top 5, in any order. Trout Mask Replica will be top 20. One of Forever Changes or Odessey and Oracle will be top 10, the other will be top 20. Astral Weeks top 20. They will have one jazz album top 20; only one other in the top 50. The rest of the ordering is too hard to guess, but I am guessing that it won't get interesting until after the top 50, if at all.
