Plus, by the time she's about 40 or so, it will be universally recognized as the greatest album ever made. So, if she starts now, it will only take until she's 18 or so to fall in love with it, and for the next 20-odd years she can brag to all her friends that she caught on before everyone else did.

Check out that tracklist! Not only can you teach your child with the education of Schoolhouse Rock, but you can also have them listening to people like Chavez, Pavement, and Man Or Astro Man? Plus, Daniel Johnston who would be another great option because of his child-like nature.

Yeah, lol. I was about to suggest Rilo Kiley before I realized what their lyrical content actually says. “15” alone is a decision for me to go NOPE.

Definitely all the ones Gowi suggested. Maybe the Polyphonic Spree as well, though I have not vetted the lyrical content! And I would consider God Help the Girl. Lyrics are probably less pervy than most Belle and Sebastian albums anyway! I might give Fold your Hands Child and the Life Pursuit a wide birth (both B and S). Too many F-bombs and knives getting put in the eyes for the kids really 🙁
