Mad Cow Fever by UK Subs. Released in 1991, Subs took a 'bluesy' direction. Album did not remain in my collection for long and is still the only studio album of theirs (out of eighteen), that I don't own. Still wondering whether I should give it another try after 26 years (especially as my taste has slightly mellowed and broadened over time!). From a 'completist' point of view I feel I ought to, even if I listen to it only once. Could at last add to BEA where it doesn't currently feature.

Calling All Stations by Genesis

From Genesis to Revelation isn't great either, but it's a decent 60s British rock record. Any record featuring Peter Gabriel on vocals is certainly better than this mess.

My favorite band is Emery. Their worst album in my opinion is I'm Only A Man (2007). Certainly not a bad album, just light-years behind their next worst, We Do What We Want (2011).

It just depends what your prefer. if you prefer blues rock over their later stuff then you would probably like the early albums better. I'm not a real big fan of blues rock so I just prefer their less bluesy stuff. It's not like either one is a million times better than the other. they're all relatively good. until Presence. anyways. And many people even admire that one

like me! Presence rules. Even coda is good. the only one that isn't good is ...

In Through The Out Door by Led Zeppelin

at any rate, their first five albums are their best. No question. And they have each been my favorite at different times. III is currently my favorite fave.

Kintsugi, by Death Cab for Cutie. I love Death Cab for Cutie, and I hoped the album would grow on me like most Death Cab albums do--seriously, Codes and Keys is a fucking masterpiece--but that back half is pretty damn tragic.

Frusciante is the only reason RHCP is a great band. As much as I appreciate Flea's bass work, and Anthony's heart, Frusciante is just amazing.

I will say though that Navarro is RHCP second best guitarist (yes above Hillel and of course Josh- the least best).

Frusciante rocks. By far the best member of RHCP. Anthony sucks

I disagree strongly, their best albums for me are II, IV, Houses Of The Holy and Psycihal Craffiti. It's strange that you dislike later albums since they are the ones offer something different from the blues rock of the first four albums.

I just get bored with Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti, even if I do like JPJ's keyboard work, it just doesn't do much for me as albums. And I'm not saying that's all Led Zeppelin did (12 bar) - my favorite song of theirs is going to california.

IDK - Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti almost sound like - hey... we ran out of stuff to write, so here's this.

Actually Houses of the Holy is my favorite Led Zeppelin album along with IV. Theyre much better than alll that bluesy shit on their first couple albums.

Raditude and Hurley - I wish Weezer had just gone on a hiatus instead and those two album just never happened. How did anyone let them release that garbage?

Yeah - not saying I hate Zeppelin or anything like that - they just waver for me sometimes.

As for Weezer- I actually love the Green and Red albums. Possibly due to nostalgia? Idk Hash Pipe is every bit as good as something on the Blue Album. The Greatest Man That Ever Lived, while goofy (isn't everything weezer does?) is possibly one of the greatest songs they ever wrote for many reasons.

I don't like the white album though - it sounds like a bad b-sides album to me.

But do agree everything will be alright in the end is fantastic.

I think Houses of the Holy is great, although Physical Graffiti is hugely overrated. But yeah I agree that some of their most beloved songs are very simple composition-wise. I guess they're just more acclaimed for how skilled each member is and how tight they sound together.

Honestly I would be much happier if Weezer took a hiatus after Pinkerton and didn't come back until Everything Will Be Alright. It's a shame that a band that was so good in the 90s is basically viewed as a joke now because of what they did in the 2000s.
