I apologize for telling anybody to go get f!$ked and not just letting the argument go before it descended into hurling personal stinkbombs, and I am sure af not interested in continuing that pointless argument... but I don't at all apologize for defending Jimmy's geniune "empty platitude" response, which always is highly appreciated no matter how clique'd it may seem. But yes, anybody do whatever you want, maybe just try to do something that actually helps people affected in a tangible way.

Of course, it's not possible to care about people caught in a hurricane and also think about songs about hurricanes, It is either one or the other I suppose, huh .A person couldn't do both. I volunteered in the Hurricane Sandy cleanup for 12 days. What did you do? Send out your vibes and your thoughts?

How do you decide my response to dread was "one of the worst ever?" First, such an unprovoked slam deserves a response. Good job with the false analogy there. I've lived through a hurricane and a tornado, I can tell you the devastation of each is just as real. In my case, the tornado was actually far worse as it was a direct hit, where the hurricane covered a broader swath, but with less irreversible damage. So the whole "some of my best friends are black" thing is total BS. You sound like you have canned preconceptions you like to rail against, whether its applicable or not.

What a pathetic reach at an attempt to discredit. Just because you can't fathom that there's nothing wrong with listening to a song about bad weather when you've just been devastated by bad weather doesn't mean there's something evil in doing so.

And even if I was the insensitive asshole you think I am (which is ridiculous since I've actually lived these things--have you?), your "thoughts and prayers" for those who might converse with me wouldn't help them any more than your thoughts and prayers will help the people in the Caribbean.
