I realize, like I said earlier, sometimes this creates mystery, keeps your on your toes, but I feel like the song explodes in the last 30 seconds, but then just fades. On one hand I love the structure, and on another, it's really hard to not want to know where it goes.

Yes fade out often seem a bit lazy. I don't think it's much used anymore

I actually really like the hook on Beds Are Burning. It might repeat itself a bit too much as the song goes on, however I've always liked it and how their singer delivers it.

Haven't listened to that song in a long time though, thanks for the earworm haha.

I used to didn't care.

Sometimes now I'm like, well how do they end it? That's kinda cheap to just fade out.

Sometimes it makes sense, but most of the time it is frustrating... especially on a 2 minute motown song or something. But sometimes that's what makes it great, right, the mystery and shortness.

Gangsta by Tune-Yards has one of the coolest intros ever and then it kinda goes downhill. Still a cool song though. I also think Beetlebum by Blur has a really cool intro and then the chorus is a bit underwhelming.
