No need to be sorry for not stopping at ten. It was a struggle for me to only incorporate ten. So many from the new era, and Somewhere In Time that juuust missed my ten at that very moment.

Fucking thank you for including Benjamin Breeg. One of my favorite Maiden songs in terms of groove. First time I ever heard it was live on the Final Frontier tour.

Exactly my thought, love these top 10s. So many forgotten gems mentioned and other classic tunes revisited. I've chosen Benjamin Breeg over the rest of AMOL&D stuff because I've seen one live video from somewhere around 2009 I think, and it was truly a magical performance.
Yes I like all of their eras, some have awesome albums (80-89 and almost everything after Brave New World), but there are some truly great songs from those 4 weakest albums, 2 with Blaze Bayley and the "last" 2 Bruce albums. And they rarely get mentioned which is a shame.

Maiden are my favourites of the three too, but I love both Priest and Sabbath. The Black Sabbath top 10 is incredible, especially Sabbra Cadabra! And Painkiller has to be THE metal song, number 1 for a reason.

Yup, love that so many people have Symptom on their list, it's imo first thrash metal song and one of Sabbath's best. After Forever is a killer tune, it could've easily landed in my top 10. Keep em coming!

I got to see Sabbath on their final tour a couple of years ago. Pretty decent actually, I was surprised that loony old Ozzy was able to come out there and do as well as he did.

Sweet, I especially like the Priest one with loads of their 70s stuff. Victim of Changes, Tyrant, The Ripper and my favourite Dreamer Deceiver... What an album Sad Wings is.

Oh yeah, 70s Priest is where it's at. I like their later stuff just fine, but that raw early sound was ace. Much like the Scorpions once the 80s rolled around they jumped into the trendy arena rock stuff. It definitely helped them be more successful, but to be honest Iron Maiden did that schtick way better so it's the old stuff that vaults Priest up the all time ranks slightly ahead of the likes of Maiden, Slayer, Death, etc. for me.

When I was in college (mid-1980s) I was in a hard rock/heavy metal band. We played lots of Priest. It could be fun to play, but I never really warmed up to listening to it frequently

Actually Turbo isn't half as bad as people say. Yes, it's not among their most consistent but some songs are killer, including Turbo Lover. I'd recommend Sad Wings Of Destiny, I think it's their best, full of fantastic tunes and very diverse.

That's a lot of Dio stuff, love this. I also think Heaven And Hell is their best along with MOR and the debut.
As for Maiden list, this is like 100% different from what mine would look like, but I love that in all honesty! Maybe a future top 10 thread material?
