My two favourites are from when I was still at school and used to watch them over and over. Both taped from tv but also have official releases. The first was Public Enemy at hammersmith odeon (the same gig the band use audio from on Nation of Millions) Def Jam tour '87. They issued it years later on DVD but the quality isn't great. It's taken from a VHS but not a first generation recording from the looks of it. Shame, as the VHS I have straight from the BBC is great. LL Cool J is great too from that same gig which the bbc also showed. Last time I checked YouTube that wasn't on. If I had the will and the means I'd upload it, it really should be on there.
My other favourite is Happy Mondays at the G-Mex. That vid was an obsession. It was the best thing I'd ever seen at the time. Some other good ones I'd watch often around then or a little later were Depeche Mode 101, 91: the year punk broke, Blur Starshaped, Guns N' Roses LA Ritz '88, Stone Roses Blackpool.

I feel like bands are themselves the most before they get big, because they had less people breathing down their necks and trying to make everything they do increase their popularity. Great Nirvana video, thanks for sharing.

I don't know about you, but I'm really fascinated by concert films of old 60s and 70s bands. I grew up in the time before YouTube, so I had to go out and rent concert movies. So I really like full length concert movies. I have no idea what your favorite bands are, but since you picked that Led Zeppelin one I can assume you like Classic Rock also. My favorites are mostly all the famous ones that most people have heard of. Here's some famous ones that I've always liked.

Monterey Pop
Woodstock
Janis
Ladies and Gentlemen The Rolling Stones
Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii
Gimme Shelter

These are some personal favorites of mine:

T.A.M.I. Show
Tangerine Dream Live at Coventry Cathedral 1975
Orbital... Live at Glastonbury
The Prodigy... World's on fire
Chemical Brothers... Don't Think

Some artists are better live -- Grateful Dead for example -- some are considered to be great live -- Led Zeppelin (before 1977) etc. -- and some artists' live albums are considered to be their best -- Allman Brothers, Cheap Trick, James Brown etc. If a band/artist was short-lived, that can generate a lot more interest in live recordings -- Hendrix etc.

To see your favorite bands recreate something on stage that you love in my opinion is amazing. Live music when done right can be the greatest aspect of music.

As a 17 year old kid who listens to a lot of music before my time, I obviously never got to see many of my favorite bands live. With youtube having a plethora of live videos, watching videos of my favorite bands has become a hobby of mine, and I'm sure there are many others here who also watch a lot of live videos.

Here are a couple of my favorites:

How Many More Times live 1970: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB8JXBTmHXY

Sonic Youth live 2002: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0l0EAtUMHs&t=543s
