The very first Metal band, quickly followed and perfected by Judas Priest! All of the Sabbath Ozzy albums are good.
All of the Dio albums are good. I love Eternal Idol, with Tony Martin on the mike too. Sabbath are amazing!

O.K. here is the second song on Heaven and Hell. On this one Dio shows what he can do on vocals. Now, Qzzy is great and unique to be sure.

But he, nor most other vocalists, can sing with the kind of power and range that Ronnie James Dio had on this album.

Children Of The Sea confirms this.

This is the third song on the Heaven and Hell album called Lady Evil with a bass line from Geezer Butler that rumbles through the song like a train through amazing sounding guitar work by Tony Iommi

Not on Heaven and Hell. Just when you thought you have heard the best song on the album this song, the 4th. on the album and title track arrives. Now, some people say (wrongly) that the doom left with Ozzy. Well, now lets just give this one a go and see if we can taste DOOM. There is only one word for this song that I will use and let the song Heaven and Hell speak for itself.

The secret ingredient to Black Sabbath IMO was Geezer Butler. He was more important to Sabbath than people, or even he, gave him credit for. He was one of, if not THE, first bass players to use a wah pedal on his bass.

Geezer wrote the majority of the lyrics on all of the 70's Sabbath albums.

And he is one of the all time greatest bass players of all time.

This is another awesome song, as they all are, on Heaven and hell. But if you focus on the bass playing on the song you will have a perfect example of top notch bass playing. And you might find yourself saying. What a Geez.

The 5th. song on H&H is called Wishing Well. O, by the way. Dio's lyrics on this song and all of the ones on H&H, are on par with Geezer's 70's lyrics.

The 6th. song on H&H is called Die Young.

A song written by Ronnie James Dio and contains awesome keyboards by Geoff Nicholls.
Die Young has vocals by Dio that I would stack up against ANYBODY'S.

If this song doesn't convince you that Heaven and Hell is Sabbath's best album, Your just being stubborn IMO 🤣

The 7th. song has a little bit of everything including the doom sound but still rocks. Geezer's bass playing again is as good as it gets on this one.

Look, Gary.........look at it like this, if somebody voted for The White Album instead of Revolver in a Beatles albums poll, I would say that it is a good choice, because it's not like Revolver is the only good album they made. Same here, Black Sabbath is my second fave Black Sabbath album, so I wouldn't say that it's not a good choice, because, even though I don't necessarily agree, I say that it IS a good album, not a bad one.
