Blue Oyster Cult anyone?

Do need to give this act a try. Specially since they have the same anagram from Boards Of Canada.

The Trials of Van Occupanther by Midlake

This lovely album springs to mind for this thread. Maybe its more a winter album though, I'm not sure now.

Do bands that dress up count then? Maybe Smashing Pumpkins... hehe

Two Fall songs I like:

Autumn Leaves - Eva Cassidy
Forever Autumn - Justin Hayward

Oh yeah there's also:

She Comes In The Fall - Inspiral Carpets

Lovin' the idea of the witchy songs for Halloween Bobby. Hallowe'en is one of my favourite holidays. It's so much fun.

One song I like to play at that time of year is:

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath

The most terrifying song ever committed to vinyl.

Some chill New Age music that fits the season. They're actually both from the same label, and the second album is produced by the first guy.

The "October" side is better than the "September" side.

Rachel's has always seemed like Fall music.

And then any kind of Post Rock. Pretty instrumental music is my favorite thing for Fall I guess.

Fall is the witching season. So I listen to a lot of songs about witches. You would be absolutely amazed how many great songs there are about witches. And the best thing is that the sound of them matches the season, for some reason the music on them always sounds like fall to me. I've had a playlist for years of witch songs. These are my favorite ones.

Season of the Witch... Donovan
Witchy Woman... The Eagles
Witch Queen of New Orleans... Redbone
The Witch... The Sonic's
Sisters of the Moon ... Fleetwood Mac
Logan Rock Witch ... Aphex Twin
Witch....Belly
Voodoo... Black Sabbath
Waking the Witch... Kate Bush
Be my Druidess... Type O Negative
Black Magic Woman... Santana
Witchcraft... Elvis
Rhiannon ... Fleetwood Mac
I Put a Spell on You... CCR
Witch's Song.... Marianne Faithfull
Voodoo Child... Jimi Hendrix
Voo Doo U... Lords of Acid
Gold Dust Woman... Fleetwood Mac

And there's tons more.

Often I'm a very seasonal-driven person when it comes to music. I like music to sound like what I'm experiencing outside so they vibe with that aesthetic. I live in Minnesota, so when the leaves start to change and fall I love to go with that feel.

What do you listen to?

Here are some autumn favorites of mine:

Neil Young - Harvest
Pearl Jam - Yield
Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
Death Cab - Transatlanticism
Joanna Newsom - Ys, Divers
Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel...
Nine Inch Nails - Broken
Red House Painters (self titled, '93)
Sun Kil Moon - Benji
Sigur Ros - ()
Neko Case - Middle Cyclone
The Beatles - White Album
Weezer - Pinkerton
Julien Baker -Turn Out the Lights (this will be the first fall listening to it but I know I will be)
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie
Portishead - Dummy
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Raise Your Skinny Fists...
Modest Mouse - Lonesome Crowded West
PJ Harvey - Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea
Billy Joes - The Stranger
