One of the reasons I Robot by the Alan Parsons Project is at #17 on my chart is that the lyrics and vocals are amazing.

Here are two of the songs on I Robot that are on the sad side and tug at my emotions just as much as they did in the 70's if not even more so today.

AFter he left, not so much. The closest to a happy song on DSOTM is Eclipse and that's mostly due to the background vocals and the organ.

Pink Floyd was never much of a happy band. Also thinking on it, neither is Radiohead.
