A more interesting list than I thought when I was about to have a look. A few days ago I had a listen to Ewa Demarczyk śpiewa Piosenki Zygmunta Koniecznego and was very impressed – I know I have to investigate more European folk music than I have though financial limitations certainly impose some delay. Quatuor Pour La Fin Du Temps is another thing to delight me much more, although Complete Bird Music for Piano Solo by Carl-Axel Dominique is to my ears the greatest classical recording ever and I have never seen it on these sort of lists.

There might be a few very overrated lo-fi bands like Pavement here, but there is a lot to recommend like Dummy, Spirit of Eden, Ys and Jack Johnson (I have never delved into Miles’ pre-electric period and find Dancing in Your Head-era Ornette more interesting than his earlier stuff).
