I don't know if it's been named yet, but good music often hits the subconscious, and so I've always liked the band name R.E.M. (rapid eye movement)... the state of sleep during vivid dreaming.

I just learned the meaning of Drive Like Jehu today. Best name for an energetic punk band.

Wikipedia wrote:

The band's name was derived from the biblical story of Jehu in the Books of Kings:[1]

“ And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving [is] like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously. ”

How could anyone not like a band with that name?

I heard of Professor Longhair before, but I never heard of the shuffling hungarians part before. that's awesome

Yeah, I think there are just two singles credited to Professor Longhair and the Shuffling Hungarians. One was Mardi Gras in New Orleans, which is a really great song.

Some good pretend ones...

Hot Wee Wee Jefferson (from the Mighty Boosh)
The Soggy Bottom Boys (from O' Brother, Where art Though?)

Toad the Wet Sprocket was actually a real band after the Python sketch. Would probably be the winner but I don't think it should count as it came from the sketch first 🤐

Lettuce is a great name. I always liked food names. They used to be more common than they are today
