Damn... how do you know me better than I know myself [oh, cuz I'm an ignorant fool, hehe] (saying this seriously, based off the first two tracks at least). I might actually be ok with that album. This Year's Model & My Aim Is True fell flat for me though, so yes to be fair, I don't like what I've heard. I just feel like his delivery is too superficial or something... not sure, but didn't find it my cup. Musically those two tracks seemed plush like I like it, but we'll see more than a sample turns into something. It's a bit like Foxy Shazam for me. I could never say I love them, but I can appreciate some of the musical aspects of both groups.

This is to me one of the great Elvis Costello tracks: he still knows how to do it.
This while USA is not really the best Jeff Rosenstock song although I like it as well.
Anyway: Elvis clearly wins.

Agree with majority here. Nothing more to add. Hopefully won't be forced to vote for Rosenstock next time, though.

Yeah the Elvis Costello number has the feeling of an old master who doesn't really have anything left to say, a modestly well-crafted but rather moribund tune, and while USA was one of the more musicadlly conventional tracks off of POST and easily could've been cut in half it still has a lot of feeling and even more charm, so Ill give it the edge here

Yep, kind of feel the same here. Not a fan of either in all honesty, and although it's about 4 minutes too long I preferred Jeff over Declan's effort.

Unwanted Number isn't bad but the chorus sort of grates. A catchy punchy pop song in true costello fashion that at this point is admittedly stale but certainly not embarassing.

USA wouldn't be my choice of a track from that LP either, but I love Jeff Rosentock's energy so that easily gets my vote here.

Jeff Rosenstock has never fully clicked with me, but I found his song a lot more interesting than Costello's.
