i just personally found the minimalist approach to these smoothed out synth-funk tracks to be rather engaging.

Yes indeed. Maybe there wasn't an attention grabbing enough track on the album to hook people in instantly but it's all really good stuff. Your review of the album reminded me I needed to check it out so thanks for that 😄

Oh My is a great, groovy song. But obviously I'm backing Me And Michael, which is euphoria in the form of a song and deserved to be a top 40 hit. Yes, there's obviously heavy 80s influence, but I love the touches of hypnagogic pop too, and they mark it as a clear product of the present day. No 2018 song has brought me more joy. It has a gloriously catchy, soaring chorus and lyrics that hit the sweet spot of ambiguity.

Yeah even if this tournament has had a bit too much 80s fetishism I still prefer Prass's far more charming take on it than MGMT's, so easy vote for Oh My

Another vote for Natalie here, bow tie and tweed jacket combo notwithstanding. Sounds like yacht-rock era Evie Sands and Prince. Never a bad thing.

Never liked MGMT - this track’s OK though.

I really like the production on the MGMT track. I like that nostalgia stuff. The synthesised voice bits were cool. I didn't get into the song as a whole though. In fact, I liked the Orbital one from the other day a bit more.

Natalie Prass is a class act. Effortless and so easy on the ear. Gets my vote.

I love Natalie's debut from a couple years back so psyched to check out her latest. I think both songs are pretty good.
