I wouldn't disagree with that. It was meant as a compliment to the quality of the song and it's clean, clear, almost shiny sound.

Wouldn't have used the term 'polished' to describe Let's Eat Grandma. If anything, I feel there's a real charming sense of spontaneity, or at least a sort of happy accident vibe to this song.

Not surprised to be losing this tough draw, but a little surprised by the margin so far. I wonder if Make Believe or Swimming (the others I considered nominating) would have fared any better here. Or maybe enough people simply don’t care for KKB’s new sound regardless.

'Falling Into Me', which is great. Though there are very few songs that wouldn't have gotten my vote against 'Dear Future Self'. From a musical standpoint, it is one of the most irritating songs I think I've ever heard.

Falling Into Me was Camp Guinea Pig Claw's song of last summer. We played it, It's Not Just Me and Hot Pink endlessly. Would love to see it win the entire tourney. My girls would freak!

My daughters love KKB too, but the 2016 version. Their new sound might grow on me, but I can't see it ever touching the songs off of Bonito Generation which is easily one of our favorite albums and some of the best pop of the last ten years.

Falling Into Me for the tourney!

Dear Future Self is cute but easy vote for the electric Norwich queens, still one of the great, propulsive, layered pop anthems of 2018.

Falling Into Me is a phenomenal song with great production. But in this battle of two great pop confections, it's the reflective lyrics of my nominee that give it an edge.
