Lots of different albums for all tastes, but they all have that distinct dihanssesque touch, between 80s, indie rock and something else I can't name. I think I get why you like all these albums and all were worth the listen. Here's my final ranking:

1. Swagger
2. Calenture
3. The Ideal Crash
4. Palomine
(People Are Like Seasons)
5. Bakesale
6. Eroica
(Ascension)
7. Reading, Writing And Arithmetics
8. Flip Your Wig
9. Blue Sky Mining
10. White Soul
(TC Matic)

Most of what I could say about these albums have already been said, so I'll keep it short.
Calenture was kind of cheesy, but in a good way, or rather a way I like. The Ideal Crash had a really impressive atmosphere, I think it's the most likely to grow on me. But Swagger gets the top spot for being both consistent and musically interesting.
I know it's not up for discussion, but that Sophia album made a great impression on me, as I was disappointed upon listening to Fixed Water some time ago.

Here's my top songs too, just for fun:

1. ...And Stones (from Swagger)
2. Sister Dew (from The Ideal Crash)
(Desert Song No.2 (from People Are Like Seasons))
3. Kelly's Blues (from Calenture)
4. Jacket Hangs (from Swagger)
5. Leg (from Palomine)
6. Put The Freaks Up Front (from The Ideal Crash)
7. Bury Me Deep In Love (from Calenture)
8. Here's Where The Story Ends (from Reading, Writing And Arithmetics)
9. Find Me (from Flip Your Wig)
10. Night After Night (from White Soul)

Wow I turned into an ism. But anyway thanks for the nice words and I'm glad you enjoyed the albums.

And two days left in April: don't hesitate to share your final views even if you haven't listened to all the albums.

2. Reading, Writing And Arithmetic by The Sundays 4/5
3. Bakesale by Sebadoh 3.5/5
4. Flip Your Wig by Hüsker Dü 3.5/5
5. Eroica by Wendy & Lisa 3.5/5
6. White Soul by Green 3.5/5
7. Palomine by Bettie Serveert 3.5/5
8. Swagger by The Blue Aeroplanes 3/5
9. The Ideal Crash by dEUS 3/5
10. Blue Sky Mining by Midnight Oil 2.5/5

An upset win for The Triffids, who narrowly won my vote away from The Sundays. Great selection dihansse!

Thx Baystate, even more possibilities for a tie on different albums and interesting to see that different albums are lovend by different people.

I really enjoyed it. You can hear the sonic connection to Prince And The Revolution, but their vocals are better (unpopular opinion alert). Well-crafted pop rock. Now I just need to listen to the dEUS album and then I can make my choice.

Thx for the Youtube addition Baystate and glad you enjoyed the album

I thought this was a great album. Although I listened to all of these albums, including the other three albums, and if Ascension by The Aints was an option that would have got my vote. Bakesale by Sebadoh was the only album I know I had heard before but I think I may have listened to The Sundays when it came out. If so I didn't appreciate it then like I can now, being more into grunge, shoegaze, etc at that time. I should have listened to Calenture by The Triffids before now. They were one of the first local bands I saw live in the late 80's and I love Trick Of The Light. When it comes to Husker Du Candy Apple Grey is my favourite. I really enjoyed listening to most of these albums and this is how I would rank them.

Ascension by The Aints
Swagger by The Blue Aeroplanes
TC Matic by TC Matic
Bakesale by Sebadoh
People Are Like Seasons by Sophie
Calenture by The Triffids
Palomine by Bettie Serveert
The Ideal Crash by dEUS
Flip Your Wig by Husker Du
Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic by The Sundays
White Soul by Green
Blue Sky Mining by Midnight Oil
Eroica by Wendy & Lisa

Hi Purplepash I'm delighted you didn't make the obvious choice with Swagger but even more delighted that you liked the albums I wasn't able to show because not widely available. Especially that I could sell The Aints to an Australian 😉

I voted for Swagger by The Blue Aeroplanes. I thought this was a great album. Although I listened to all of these albums, including the other three albums, and if Ascension by The Aints was an option that would have got my vote. Bakesale by Sebadoh was the only album I know I had heard before but I think I may have listened to The Sundays when it came out. If so I didn't appreciate it then like I can now, being more into grunge, shoegaze, etc at that time. I should have listened to Calenture by The Triffids before now. They were one of the first local bands I saw live in the late 80's and I love Trick Of The Light. When it comes to Husker Du Candy Apple Grey is my favourite. I really enjoyed listening to most of these albums and this is how I would rank them.

Ascension by The Aints
Swagger by The Blue Aeroplanes
TC Matic by TC Matic
Bakesale by Sebadoh
People Are Like Seasons by Sophie
Calenture by The Triffids
Palomine by Bettie Serveert
The Ideal Crash by dEUS
Flip Your Wig by Husker Du
Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic by The Sundays
White Soul by Green
Blue Sky Mining by Midnight Oil
Eroica by Wendy & Lisa

Made a playlist of the full album in the correct track order if anyone needs this to hear Eroica: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLm5k9Fq5RcTbo5nG8hZlUPSkRqKjPBRo2

I really enjoyed it. You can hear the sonic connection to Prince And The Revolution, but their vocals are better (unpopular opinion alert). Well-crafted pop rock. Now I just need to listen to the dEUS album and then I can make my choice.

Sorry, I haven't said anything yet. I was already familiar with half, and I need to listen to the other half. Here's the rankings as of right now. I just listened to Eroica, which I wish would've have leaned into the funk a bit more.

Flip Your Wig
Bakesale
The Ideal Crash
Blue Sky Mining
Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic
Eroica

I'll try to get the others done in the next week.

I voted for Bakesale myself so as far as I'm concerned there is now a tie between Bakesale, The Ideal Crash, The Sundays and Palomine and I wouldn't mind if another of those albums would get a second (or first) vote as well....

But then upon hearing the first song, they sounded a little familiar. Then of course it all became clear on the second cut, which was a big hit where I lived back in the day.
I never explored further because I figured it would be one of those groups where I liked a single but wouldn’t care for the whole album.
I was wrong. Thanks for listing this. Interesting compositions, cool groove, laid back but plaintive and engaging vibe. And really, really nice vocals. I’m smitten.
I’m gonna’ give this an 80, which puts it in a tie for first place with Swagger and just ahead of Palomine. Tough call. In the end, I’m voting for this one – those vocals are just too sweet not to.

I think from a review in Spin magazine back when Palomine came out. It got a pretty stellar review.

Reading, Writing And Arithmetic was the only album I had already heard coming in, and it is a great one. Revisiting again today, it holds up, but hasn't grown on me over time (and may have even slightly grown off me). Jangle pop with excellent female vocals is a winning combo, but the sound is a bit too consistent. There is a lot of good songwriting, but only a couple tracks that I would consider standouts. Fittingly, its vibe was ideal for this Sunday afternoon, but its strength is probably more as background music than intent listening. I think Calenture may have taken the lead in my personal ranking with two albums left to hear.
Like the groove, generally like the vibe, and rarely like the vocals. I do very much like the occasional progressive elements in what would otherwise be for me perfectly flat, standard indie music. I'm giving it (yet another) an initial solid 65 and placing it 4/9 heard so far.

Calenture had been on my to-do list for a while, and thanks to this thread I finally got around to it. I'm glad! With rich, sweeping production, great songwriting, and keen pop sensibilities, it's a winner and my favorite first listen of these so far (although it didn't pass The Sundays).
