I much prefer longer versions of both albums. And I'm usually the guy who wants his albums 100% dense, with no fat and/or filler, but these albums are to me absolute favourites, and the tracks that are omitted on some releases are equally brilliant and fit well within the album, so no real reason to drop them imho.

Same question as for The Cure' Disintegration:
Do you prefer the original vinyl issue ending with the song Vapour Trail, or the CD version ending with three more songs: Taste, Here and Now, Nowhere.

I'll say exactly the same as for Disintegration: not sure it was necessary to add these songs, but apparently the CD tracklist has become "canonical" too, except on BEA where the vinyl tracklist prevails (as opposed to Disintegration)
