Yeah. Thanks for expressing this-basically sums up my feelings on this match up 😄 The lyricism on 99 problems is spell binding to me-and that goddam nu metal version is an absolute travesty! (not that CGD had any way of knowing it wasn't the original when posting)

The Microphones are great, but 99 Problems is a classic. Sad to see the vote so lopsided.

Oh, the version of 99 problems at the top of the thread is not the official version. I dont like it one bit tbh. Hopefully you guys can get the real track on Youtube/Spotify in the US and elsewhere. Surprisingly it is on Spotify in the UK and I just found a version of the track on Youtube . I'll try posting but my fear is it will be blocked in some regions.

Anyway, I love 99 problems. Even as a hip hop track I think it rocks harder than anything else from the decade and Jay Z is so captivating from start to finish. I'd not heard the microphones track before. Thought it was good but it didn't really move me so much. Sticking with Hova.

Ditto. 99 Problems is one of the best hip hop songs of the decade but there are few musical moments that hit me like the outro of I Want Wind To Blow.
