What a terrible video for Glad Girls. Good song, but insubstantial. Parrish narrowly gets my vote.

The Theo Parrish song has everything I like in dance music (makes me think a bit of Laurent Garnier) but Glad Girls was my nomination and clearly wins.

First time hearing both songs. I felt like Lost Angel was dragging a bit at times, but it still wins. Glad Girls is a nice piece of pop rock but nothing more (at least on the first listen). I prefer some other Guided By Voices songs.

Wow. This is the first time I'll go with power pop. While I do like Lost Angel, it never hits this high for lengthy dance tracks to warrant the run time. Now if that song was like Pepe Bradock's Deep Burnt, I'd have a different story. Though it don't matter since Theo has a massive lead.

Like Guided by Voices. Very good power pop, and I'm quite sold to the genre to begin with.

But that Theo Parrish track track
1. is fire
2. Reminded me I need to listen to some more
3. Sounds more like the OOs than GbV do. To me at least.

Liked the atmosphere of Lost Angel-gets my vote. Didn't like glad girls so much I'm afraid. Maybe its a grower.

Tough choice between two great noms.

This may change after repeated listening, but based on initial exposure, I went with the slick indie-ish fun over the more minimalist entry (which may grow on me more over time)
