I dig Janelle for the most part but think she has better tracks. Danny is pretty much one of the best MC's of the 21st century, and 30 is a solid representation of that. So, gotta go with Danny.

As consistiently deft as Monae always is, I've always just kind of admired her music rather than actually being into it in any sort of way, and that feeling kind of persists here. Love Janelle, but Danny all day long in this matchup. 30 is a perfect way to close the album, beat is incredible and the story great as always.
Edit: forgot how good the solo on Ghetto Woman was. Damn

i love janelle, but this is really not the best song choice. i'd be all over just about anything from her first record or have a dozen from the electric lady, ghetto woman is pretty run of the mill by her standards.

Good Janelle Monae song but phenomenal Danny Brown song. Such great storytelling, so intense, and so many quotable lines.

I totally forgot how great that skywlkr beat is, and gosh darn Danny can navigate anything. He really is one of the best rappers alive, even if he's hyper BAWP-friendly. Better than Janelle, anyway.
