Ruin, while quite nice, is not one of Cat Power's better songs. R.A.P. Music is excellent and one of Killer Mike's best songs. Easy choice for me.

Rebellious African People Music is one of my favourite genres, so Mike and El-P. Although it's a great Cat Power song, would vote it over a lot of other stuff.

played the hell out of both of these songs when I first heard them, but I think Killer Mike narrowly beats the admittedly catchier "Ruin".

Not the best song off Killer Mike's album, still solid, though going with "Ruin" as that's latter-day Chan at her best

Cat Power's best song from her best album, probably.

I was stuck between nominating this or Fiona Apple's "Every Single Night". They are both standout art pop songs from prolific songwriters who released what many people regard their greatest albums in the same year.
