Now I've got a question about "safety features." I've noticed a couple of albums opt for a safe mode due to cover album content, but I'm not sure how to mark an album as one needing the feature. I just uploaded a picture for another Stormwarrior album and realized it has a decapitated head on the corner with some blood. How do I mark an album as explicit content if possible?

Not heard it, but when I was searching for the release date it did seem to be described in terms that I find appealing, so will check it out later. Cheers for the heads up!

Thanks, bro. Btw, your chart's got some stoner metal up there, so have you checked out Colour Haze? They're not metal but All is the best stoner-anything album I've heard.

I have a question about incorrect years. Last night I noticed that Colour Haze's self-titled is listed as a 2005 album, but the band's official webpage states the album was released in 2004 AND 2005. I tried to edit this on BEA's page but the album is locked from editing. I made a note of it, so how long before I can expect an edit? Bevause I want the album listed in my best albums of 2004 but the site currently makes that impossible.

Modding albums (including adding albums to the database -- I still have a virtually bottomless list of jazz albums that aren't in there) is the fastest way to get points if you're down to do the work. The most effortless way -- before you're able to add decade and yearly charts -- is, like Round the Bend said, rating. Not sure if I knew rating songs earns points.

@Spyglass - another way you can gain points (albeit a smaller amount per action, but each action is easy) is by rating songs on album pages (I think it's a 1/4 point per rating), as well as the the album itself. So you can get 5 points for rating a 20 track album or for rating 20 albums or whatevs. You can haz the maths.

The overall is built upon the rank of albums on charts (aggregated, etc.), whereas the top rated section is based on what ratings albums/songs/artists, etc. get.

This is an album site, so all releases on BEA need to have at least five tracks OR be 20 minutes or longer. (EPs can be listed on BEA provided they meet either of these criteria).

Videos can be embedded on the forums using the 'YouTube' tag. There's further info on the forum FAQ regarding this and other tags (only YouTube is supported for video at the moment).

I just found out that everytime I comment on a chart, I'm set to "watch" the chart for later comments. I didn-t see anything that seemed to turn it off in my profile page. How can I stop this from happening?

Thanks. I checked all of the search options, and searching through charts is the only thing that doesn't work right now.

By the way, I've finally updated my chart to 100. It can be viewed here:

This is still a prototype, and once I'm able to make yearcharts, I can use those to compare to each other for the decade and overall ones. Then I just hope my overall top 100 is perfected.

Yes points are updated few times each day., every four to six hours from memory. On the advanced search page, be sure to check ‘charts’ are selected as default is ‘artists’, if this is still a problem I’ll check into.

I could probably answer #1. This is probably due to being so many users registered on this site. And actions like moderation, adding albums on personal lists and others take a bit for the algorithm to update do to the people and what is being set. Allegedly, due to not working behind the scenes but being around for quite some time to make a hypothetical guess.

#2 would be more of a albummaster explanation.
