The first thing I noted about this chart is the presence of locally huge Australian albums from my childhood – East, The Swing, Man of Colours – when I had a perspective on music that Joe S. Harrington and others (to some extent even my own younger brother) taught me as exceedingly narrow, although not unexpected from the isolated suburban environment I grew up in.

Aside from that point, which adds to the “distinctiveness” of this chart, the remainder is quite varied and interesting, with a number of unexpected twists like Heyday (which I have never heard on the radio or anywhere for that matter), Born Sandy Devotional, The The, Billy Bragg, Steve Miller Band, Richie Havens, and Kris Kristofferson.

All in all, even if I have moved beyond quite a number of albums on this list in a quarter-century as a music listener, I quite like this chart.
