Would've been happy with however the top 4 placed, truly, but I think this is a pretty solid ranking. Can't believe Cohen was nearly eliminated round 1. 🤣

After a painful several weeks and many matchups, we have a clear set of winners in the Greatest Songwriter (Not in the Top 40) survey.

#1 Gold Medal Winner, Joni Mitchell

Other nominees included Ray Davies, Andy Falkous, Jason Isbell, Joanna Newsom, Doug Martsch, Mark Sandman, Jason Molina, Prince, John Mayer, Warren Zevon, Roc Marciano, Jeff Buckley, Will Toledo, Mark Kozelek, Wayne Coyne, Isaac Brock, Ghostface Killah, Billy Bragg, Gil Scott-Heron, Smokey Robinson, PJ Harvey, Paul Simon, John Lennon, Stan Ridgway, Paul Westerberg, James Murphy, Nas, Mark E. Smith, and Kate Bush.

Doing this tournament has really opened my eyes to a lot of these artists, whom previously I had never given a fair shot. I highly recommend taking some time and giving each one a listen. Even the ones I didn't personally enjoy a whole lot were still very intriguing, and I'm glad I was pushed into trying them out.
