Well at least a lot of people liked AvH track 😎

If you're intrigued enough to listen to the full album, a rough guide is:
Dead Magic - mostly like this song, goth, doomy and gloomy, neoclassical darkwave/ethereal wave with some instrumental, almost ambient cuts
Ceremony - more song oriented, art pop and ambient pop with damn good songwriting to boot

The Miraculous is not too shabby either

I never listen to Von Hausswolf's album because I didn't think it would be my thing, but I enjoyed this track quite a bit. Not nearly enough to vote against Death with Dignity though.

Carrie & Lowell has proven quite universal, though having a parent die in 2015 gave it an all new meaning for some (especially, when you had rather ambigious feelings at the news)

Anyways, gets my vote easily. Not even my favorite Sufjan song in the tournament and will still probably get most of my votes regardless.

I think this is a good choice for a Sufjan track. His vocals on this album get grating after a while, but I think in this song everything comes together quite beautifully.

It also reminded me that Stage Four (yeah totally different take on a similar subject matter, but equally emotional) came out in this part of the decade and I could probably nominate something like New Halloween in an alternate timeline.

I'd vote Anna in most other matchups so far, so it's a shame...

Yeah, couldn’t not seize the opportunity presented to me to nominate Death With Dignity. Carrie & Lowell came out a month before my Mum died of cancer, so the whole album - and this track in particular - hit a nerve. It’s me selecting a track with my heart well and truly on my sleeve, whereas normally I’d go for something obscure or comical (more of which can be found elsewhere).

For the record I quite like Anna’s track - reminded me a bit of Harriet Wheeler, for some reason.

I'm not a huge fan of Carrie & Lowell, prefer other Sufjan albums, but Death With Dignity is such a great song. And yeah, Anna has no chance here. Well, at least people will listen to what is possibly her best song.

My thoughts exactly. Death With Dignity is a tough matchup lol. I wouldn't be upset or surprised if it won the entire thing.

Yeah seriously. Sunday I listened to all the tracks and Anna was a stick out for me for sure.

Against Sufjan (who for me actually is kinda hit and miss surprisingly, but when he hits, it's pretty hard).
