....one of my greatest musical discoveries, thanks ironically to my friend Richard who also introduced me to what has transpired to be my chart's current no.1 album - Ys by Joanna Newsom.

Whilst Mrs. Miller's Greatest Hits (surely a misnomer if ever there was one) is a legend in its own lunchtime, I would wholeheartedly recommend people try and track down the follow-up, provocatively titled "Will Success Spoil Mrs. Miller". Thankfully it didn't, but her cover of The Mamas and Papas' classic "Monday Monday" has to be heard to be believed.

I don't really know most of the stuff on this list, but I rather like most of what I do know (especially Loveless and Pet Sounds, two of my favorites).

1. Go to YouTube
2. Search for MRS MILLER DOWNTOWN.
3. Press play. Then run. And hide. Quick.

Until the joke wears thin and my sense of humour circuits fail, she'll always have a place in my chart. I'm just waiting for the world to catch on...
