I wonder how many people actually heard The Middle East, but it's not a shame losing to such a great album.

Her music taste is varied. From Westlife to 30 Seconds To Mars to Muse to Pink Floyd to Beyonce to classical to Eurovision to Three Days Grace to Nat King Cole to (you get the picture)

And yes, rural SA is wine country. Coonawarra region is where we will be.

Pre-Beautiful Sharks, they were more grunge and aggressive as Dempsey had been influenced by Fugazi and the like. Beautiful Sharks and Echolalia are almost companion albums and show their transition into more commerically viable music. Desert Lights is okay.

Married life is good but she still doesn't get why I am on BEA all the time. She's the music teacher and I think I am more passionate about talking music sometimes. We are moving to the country for work near Christmas so it's all happening in the Harkan Household.

Love some Coldplay. Haven't heard all of Mylo Xyloto yet but I have Rush Of Blood up in my chart.

I think the sentimentality around the album for me is something that I hold onto when thinking of great albums. It was the first I bought with my own money and it was jsut near the end of high school for me when I really thought, "hey, I need to start listening to more music besides what's on the radio."

Echolalia Definitely. Actually, I had all but forgotten it. I dug it out this evening and re-listened to it with "fresh ears." It is quite good, isn't it?

I've pushed it a little up because of Aus Music Month but definitely in my top 5 of all time. About 99.9% of the world's population would disagree but "opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one."
