My distaste for rap is well documented, but I really couldn't get on board with those 80s drum machines. So Ka takes it in the shocker of the day.

I like both songs, Ka is clearly one of the very few rappers in his new school "abstract" "drumless" lane that I generally find artistic and not-boring. But Blinding Lights is such a banger, and I find myself going back to that album much more (even outside radio). Props to both men, but my vote goes to The Weeknd.

Blinding Lights is a banger, but that release from Ka was one of my favourites over the past few years, can't go against it.

I voted for Ka’s Sins of the Father. Because holy shit. That is incredible.

I listened to Blinding Lights first and was more familiar with it before this tourney. And it’s a really solid pop song. But Ka came in and blew me away. Okay s Ellen t nom, indeed.

I wouldn't be mad if Sins of the Father wins the entire tournament. Descendants of Cain is still the best hip-hop album of the 2020's so far.

Holy hell, how did I miss out on Descendants of Cain?? "Sins of the Father" is brilliant, I need to check out the rest of the album immediately.

"Blinding Lights" is a great song too, tough match-up. Always a pleasure to hear that, thanks for nominating

Oh. All of my picks have a hard first round matchup, but this is just impossible to decide. Sins of the Father is among my favourite songs on Descendants of Cain and I don't think I'll vote against it in this tourney...
