A rare rating last year did without this artist's album.
I assume that the lyrics played an important role in this.

Zach Bryan - Burn Burn Burn
I don’t know this singer.
Again, the music is in the background.
However, the country style outweighs here.

Yeah this shows how far behind I've fallen, I used to feel like I was having to help get the word out on the best of outside-the-gulch country but even with all of Brya n's hype and early acclaim I'm only discovering him for the first time. And its quality, you can tell there's real songwriting talent here- but still gotta go Pusha, at this point he rules his own kingdom as he can casually throw off a moody banger with this much ease.

Nothing against Zach Bryan, but that’s a no contest, Pusha T is an all-time great, you could have nominated literally any of his songs and you’d have a winner right there.

You guys know me, I'm a huge hip-hop head. Pusha T is an all-time favorite of mine and 'Its Almost Dry ' was my #9 album of the year. Brambleton is an excellent track and classic Push, but it's still an easy vote for Zach Bryan here. Should Brambleton move on, I'll likely end up voting for it in future rounds because its an excellent track. I would have preferred a few other tracks off the album though such as 'Neck & Wrist', 'Diet Coke', 'Rock N Roll ', or 'I Can Pray For You'.

Zach Bryan on the other hand has been my #1 most played artist since 2020, and is shaping up to be what I believe one of the greatest songwriters of this generation. His current hot streak is one to be remembered. His output in 2022 alone was insane (releasing close to 50 songs plus one of the best live albums I've ever heard) and there hasn't been a single bad song in my opinion. Easily the best artist of the year. 'Burn, Burn, Burn' is an excellent track choice from Lowkey, and one of Bryan's best singles yet. I was going to describe the song but I think the user "lai" does an excellent job of it on RYM so I'll just copy and paste it here instead.

This is my first time listening to Zach Bryan— I've seen his name around a bit, but in general the genre isn't my thing so I ignored it— luckily, he comes across more on the Simpson/Stapleton side of modern country, and he's made a really nice track here. Despite some cheap-ish sounds on the beat, Pusha's doing Pusha at a pretty high calibre. Bullet of a track.

Weird pitting these against each other 😕
I'm... not sure.
