meaning no rap genre chart yet, mono. However, you can google search "best rap albums" and get a few decent lists. There's also a topic in the music forums somewhere where users were listing some great rap albums. If you're too lazy to find it, you can start another thread and I'm sure no one would mind listing them again.

Thank you, purple, for dropping 36 Chambers!! I know I'm probably one of those people who doesn't listen to enough rap, but that's the highest charting rap album on my list. Just unstoppable!
(Also, not to belabor the point, but I would really love if someone could point me to this list; is it BEA-associated? I heard something about generating charts for certain tags, but I'm as yet unaware of how to access such lists--I would love to be able to take a look at this!)

yeah, but I would put it in the top 20. It's not revolutionary in any way like 36 Chambers, 3 feet high and rising, Paid in Full, or Illmatic but it's so damn fun to listen to

I think I like so damn much runaway that only for that I like it's position. But i chose that option also cause Monster kills, the opener is such a really damn good opener, "power" is bitchin and there are some lyrics that surprised me a lot. So yeah.

...I second Jhereko's notion.

If someone were to tell MBDTF was the "best rap album ever", I don't think I'd put up much of an argument.
Of course, everyone knows the best rap album of all time is "Fight With Tools", but that's another matter.

I hope for it to make the top 100 at least, but hopefully top 50.

Illmatic is better though IMO, so I wish it to be Top 50, #2 highest ranked hip-hop album ever. 😄

Out of the, admittedly few, rap albums I have heard MBDTF is the only one in my chart. So I like it's current position.
