Its biggest sin is being very boring, more so than its laundry list of curious omissions. Even its attempts at early canonization are safe bets, and its picks from certain artists that are alternates for more obvious classics aren't that egregious. But you know what? If this leads someone down into more interesting or diverse taste, we're all better for it.

Not a bad chart really, though it's fairly obvious that they're trying to appeal to their mostly-youngish demographic by including a lot of more-recent (i.e. post-2010) albums. Not just to sell more Apple Music subscriptions, but to promote the idea of Apple in general as a more youth-focused corporation than it actually is.

Of course, I'm typing this post on an M1 iMac while also being too old (not to mention commercial-unfriendly) to have even heard half this stuff, so take whatever I say with a grain of salt.
