I said I didn't have a particular favorite track released this past Friday, but I hadn't heard this one at the time I posted that. I have since heard this one. It came out this past Friday and it is my favorite track released on that day.

Catching up on my favorite songs released in the last few weeks, here. OK, since my post here from a few weeks ago was deleted, you can find my pick for my favorite song of that week here: It is a recently discovered cover of the Beatles tune "Michelle" by Luther Vandross.

Back on topic for a bit, there's another comeback album in the works by California power-poppers 20/20, whom you might remember from their 1979 college-radio hit "Yellow Pills." This will be their first album in 26 years... Anyway, they just released the first teaser track, "Back to California."

Alright, that's ridiculous, when the song fits into three different thread categories. In that case, please delete it from The Beatles Covers thread so I can post it on this one. Can, I post it on the 2024 music thread sometime later this year? It definitely belongs there.

My favorite new track released this week is "I Left it in the Water" by Southbound. It's from their upcoming album of the same title to be released in January 2025.

I also enjoyed a new cover of a Carpenters tune by Diana Panton from her upcoming album "Soft Winds and Roses" to be released later this month on the 25th.
