Talked to my year 11 English class about Metal Machine Music. A handful of students are in a screamo/hardcore band and listen to anything strange. This was too much for some of them.
The reason I brought it up in class was because of advertising and saying that Lou Reed basically sold an album of noise.

Only noise music I tried to listen to was SPK, Aussie industrial. Could not stand about 10 seconds of it. Will never hear it again.

Steven Wilson's Bass Communion seems something I might listen to.
