Thanks for feedback, The Skip button is meant to take you straight back to the edit chart screen, so that part is working as intended (you no longer need to wait five seconds).

The navigation links should take you directly to the page you clicked, but it sounds like that isn’t happening. I’ll take another look to see what might be preventing those clicks from working. (EDIT: I’ve had another look and I think I’ve identified what’s happening: the Newly Added Albums page can sometimes take a while to load, which makes it appear as if the click hasn’t worked. In reality, the page is loading in the background, and by the time it finishes loading the countdown has also completed. Just investigating why this has slowed down lately).

Doesn't work. If I click the button, it takes me immediately back to the edit chart screen. If I don't press it, and try to go to Home / Newly Added Albums, it still makes me wait for the countdown.

Just added a button to allow people to skip having to wait to be redirected (you should also be able to click on the primary navigation while the countdown is happening).

It is not longer redirecting me to the edit chart page when I click Home / Newly Added Albums. But it is making me wait the full amount of time (6 seconds?) before going where I ask it to go. Used to be an instant redirect. I know it's only a few seconds...but it's what I guess we would call a minor annoyance.

When adding an album to a chart...after clicking Add Chart, instead of being given the 5 seconds (or 6...not sure what that was) to navigate to a different page, am now being forced to wait for the redirect to the chart before I can go anywhere else.

Apologies for the continuing issue, I've made a couple of background changes which might improve things on the forums (also on the chart editor). Some of the pages on the site are quite lengthy and I think that's partially contributing to the issue on mobile. Going to look at breaking some of the bigger pages down into smaller pieces to make them easier to browse on mobile (particularly album and artist pages etc).

Thanks for extra info. I wasn't aware there were ads on the chart editor page, I'll get those removed now to eliminate this as a possible cause.

Thanks for the kind words and for picking up on that issue. Points in overall charts are decayed on a daily linear basis over ten years (until they reach zero). This is mainly because an overall chart created over a decade ago won't include any albums from the decade since the chart was last updated (extrapolate into the future and you can see the problem where, as more overall charts get created, the majority won't represent newer music and the aggregate charts will then be skewed towards older albums, so the algorithm helps to even things out).

Decade and year charts (like sheep21’s 2008 or 2000s charts) are treated as a different case because they cover a discrete period, so a 2008 chart is always going to be an accurate snapshot of 2008, no matter when it was built or last modified, so those points don't require the same decay. (The only minor exception here is if a year or decade chart was last updated *before* that specific time period actually ended. In those cases, we scale the points using the ratio of time completed within that period to keep the points fair).
