French-Italian trance/house music, this was their debut single and bit top 10 hit around most of Europe, by far their most successful track.

Do I get it? No, not really, can't understand how something like this did so well, though I would have been a bit too young at the time...

Just not my scene and not sure it's aged all that well.

Faithless - Insomnia (Monster Mix Radio Edit)

Faithless were huge on the back of the original release of Insomnia in 1995, very much the pinnacle of 90's house and rave music meeting the popular mainstream.

Can remember it being everywhere.

This mix is less effective than the original for me, drags it just a bit too much to fully have the same impact, but it's popularity would keep going well into the 2000's.

And Backstreet Boys make their Now debut, this was actually released as their second single in late 1995, before their debut album and before they became international superstars.

It's good for sure, but we all know they've better to come and even have better stuff on their debut album, definitely a huge moment in pop music though.

Can't get into this one, not working for me, think I needs to go back to it in the context of the movie it was made for, the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Interestingly this was recorded for the British version of the film, whereas All-4-One did the American version.

My main memory of the movie is having a jigsaw of it as a child.

The second single off A Woman & A Man, Carlisle's 6th solo album, plus the follow up single In Too Deep.

It's an alright pop rock number that's absolutely not aged too well and probably would have done better in the 80's.

I still enjoy it in parts, but I wouldn't return here too much really.

Suede - Beautiful Ones

I probably downplayed Suede a bit too much when when their last single Trash, was up here, but the follow up, Beautiful Ones, is (alongside Animal Nitrate) comfortably the best thing they've done.

Somewhere between Britpop and glam rock with a hint of the alternative era that was gradually being ushered in, it's very very good.

I don't mean to be needlessly picky, but... just in case you were thinking nobody was reading this anymore, you've had Sinead O'Connor's name misspelled at #32 for quite a while now, and recently another misspelling crept in at #31 as well.

Other than that, everything looks good (!) except the obvious issue of your having the Spin Doctors in at #18 instead of, say, 500-something.

A non-album single by Cast between their first and second albums, shortly after Walkaway.

It's ok, probably their weakest yet, gets a bit repetitive for me so I can see why it didn't make the cut on either album, I still think Cast are a solid band all the same, definitely lost against some of the stronger bands of the era though and very heard to follow up to Pulp.

Garbage are good but I've never gotten fully into them on the level I feel I could or maybe should have.

Milk was the final single off their debut album, this version came out later, featuring Tricky alongside Garbage, even if not credited by Now.

It's good, but I felt it could have been more.
