Okay so unfortunately we still have multiple ties. Now I wouldn't be adverse to having ties in the genre awards but we have a 4 way tie for album of the year 🤡 . SO there are a few resolutions...none of them pretty:

1. We forgo the secret ballot process and just vote on the categories as polls.
PROS: when people can see the results, there's less chance of ties. CONS: It would make everything else done up to this point, a little redundant. It's not as exciting knowing the winners as you go.

2. I open up the survey to another music forum.
PROS: More people voting means generally less chance of ties. It may expose another forum to the sort of things BEA does. CONS: this is the BEA awards and it wouldn't be a reflection of BEAs feelings on 2011 music.

3. We just have polls on tie-breakers. We put the 2-4 albums that are tied into a poll and sort it out that way.
PROS: When people who voted for other albums are forced to choose 1 other album, it usually leads to a decided victor. CONS: The other categories that are decided get little suspenseful presentations and the tie-breakers are kinda anti-climatic.

4. I create a new survey just for the tie-breakers.
PROS: people don't know the winner ahead of time. and as above: when people who voted for other albums are forced to choose 1 other album, it usually leads to a decided victor. CONS: People still know immediately what albums didn't make it.

5. We clear the results and I start a new survey.
PROS: none really, it's a pretty dumb idea. CONS: see PROS

What is the preferred route by everyone?

I guess number 4 is probably the one I'd lead towards.

The "Solo Male Album" was the most difficult...........probably because I thought that since I had already voted for Space is Only Noise once, I should vote for my 3rd fave 2011 album, Bad As Me........but, I had to go with Space is Only Noise. 😢 Sorry, Tom Waits, you gotta wait.........oh, wait.....did I just say "wait" after mentioning "Waits"? 😲

I had an idea!

When the winners are announced, don't give any of the numbers away. The big award shows don't do that and it will give an air of mystic. 😄

yes, I think it detects IP addresses. But that wouldn't be a solution anyway as having people who have already voted vote, would make the whole thing pointless. Thank you though. There are a few solutions, though I'm not fond of any of them.
