I listed the weeks in the thread, basically it is all of February, plus a couple of days in Jan and Mar to round out the weeks (Sunday through Saturday).

I wanted to post yesterday, but didn't get internet until after midnight, at which point I was too tired to do anything. I'll post a separate thread for this week sometime later today, with the proper data and links and such, and people can leave their comments or whatever they like about this week's albums there.

At the end of the Extravaganza, I'll post the updates as to how the ratings changed (if at all) because of the event.

I tried to pick a mix of songs that would cover each decade and genre, as well as taking into consideration a balance between famous vs. less-famous artists, and high- vs. low-ranked albums. At least one album from every valid submission list was included. I didn't get a chance to check that the albums would be easily available on spotify, pandora, or youtube, so if you run into any problems let me know and perhaps others can help locate the songs or we can switch out the album for another one. And if you want to listen to all of the albums that were nominated, I won't stop you.

Sounds cool. I probably won't be able to participate with every album, but I'll try do as many as possible - it could maybe be used to expand my musical horizon from my very narrow minded approach to music.

Considering it's the best Smiths album, the self titled debut is shockingly low in the rankings. Also if you want some sort of diversity then looking at Nas' Illmatic or The Prodigy's The Fat Of The Land wouldn't be a bad idea.
