See, I think that's cool (as well as the all female bands).

Also, harkan, if these get around equal votes - would you be adverse to someone else doing 1 of them? Not me of course, I just did the BEAMAs - but I don't think it'd be too much to have both Female Artists and city vs city running.

Yeah, ain't doing both. I am leaning towards City v City for myself. Anyone willing to take on the female tournament?

Female is female. If you want to do it, do it right. Don't include bands that has SOME female because you think they're cool. White Stripes is not primarily a female band and you all know it.

(And no, all you feminists out there, I am not diminishing the female contribution to the act. You know that too really)

But The Go-Betweens weren't even half female. I think the trouble with something like voting for WHite Stripes or Garbage is that (at least this is what I would do) users would look entirely at the merit of the female member (i.e. Meg's drumming or Shirley's singing) so I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I know my knowledge of music is not extensive but 64 could still work. 32 might be better placed to get a short tourney done.

It's almost neck and neck between female artists and city v city. Have to put up rules for female too; such as one female member in a band is not enough, only solo female artists etc.

Ideas?
