Yes, it's a nice picture. I generally like industrial buildings, they always make for great photographs. Went with Animals.

Actually people do send postcards of Battersea Power Station, and do write home to tell people they have visited it!

In all honesty I wasn't a big purchaser of wallpaper in 1974 so I may just be guilty of stealing something someone else said....BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!

Point is though...although a power station really isn't that simple a thing, It has taken years and years of developing technology and inventing all sorts of weird stuff, from a modern point of view it is something that can be found in every other corner of the western world and therefore a very simple, non-eyebrow-raising piece of engineering. You don't write home after an excursion to Wherever, England, and tell the folks that you saw a power station because it is plain and commonplace. If you see a roman bloke killing a dragon on four horsebacks it is likely you will at least add a postscript about it on your postcard. In this particular case, too, the power station is an imposing structure that stands as a witness of something very much opposite of the title of the album which adds to the plain industrial beauty of the building itself and makes people stop for a second and think about what they are doing with their lives. Roman bloke killing a dragon? Nope. Can't even relate to that.

That's not what I was gonna say though. If you like simple why do you prefer all that stuff that would take a long time to describe in full over "power station"?
