So in your opinion there is only one Floyd album, maybe two is you cound SoS too.

Well the Wall isn't my favorite album, I prefer the early Floyd (from the Piper until WYWH) albums more, but there are some incredibly great songs. Comfortably Numb is one of Floyd greatest, in my Top5 for sure.

The best PF album IMO.

ABITW, Young Lust, One Of My Turns, Hey You, Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell...

No other PF album has tracks to top those, esp. Hey You and One Of My Turns.

Coldplay are only better than Pink Floyd in the same way that impaling is better than weeks on a torture rack really! Both inflict an enormous amount of pain and are best avoided!

As for the Wall itself, It's one of the most moving albums ever. From beginning to end, it really says something, tells and convincing and powerful story. The music fits it perfectly, and honestly Kid A is the only album thats done anything like it well. Love this album and its live version (Is there anybody out there- the wall live 1980-1981) to bits.

Wait, seriously? TDB is an album that "shall not be named", but AMLoR is fine?

My opinion:
DSotM>WYWH>The Wall>Animals>Meddle> ... > Atom Heart Mother>Obscured by Clouds> ...> The Final Cut = Piper = ASOS > More > TDB > AMLOR, and it's been way too long since I last heard Ummagumma so I won't rank it. But it has been my least favourite one in the time I listened to them the most.

I seriously can't understand why DSOTM is considered so much better tha this one. This thing is amazing, the story is great, awesome lyrics, the way the album flows is unique.

It's got some great tunes, but as an album I don't think it holds together very well musically speaking. I strongly prefer Dark Side and Wish You Were Here.
