There are people that claim it is objective! 😲 On any music website, there are always people who claim something is objectively overrated.

When it isn't said in a objective way, the word "overrated" still feels much more objective than saying you like something. That may be just how I feel though. But the point above, there are definitely people, quite a number of them, who use "overrated" as an objective term.

No, my post wasn't serious, either. I was just convoluting the logic to make the idea of an album that someone hates that nobody else has heard fit with the statement "All albums I don't like are overrated." It was mostly meant to be a joke. I guess it wasn't very funny, lol.

There is a difference between believing something is overrated and disliking it. Ie I think Funeral is overrated, but I like it.

As I mentioned, I was joking, but let me clarify what I meant by "should". If I dislike an album, but it's hugely popular, I think it is undeserving of the praise it gets. I don't really care if people like it, I just disagree with their opinion. That's all I meant by that.
