Thanks RFNAPLES, I wasn't aware of that..I think that I like the mono version better and the 45 is so cool.

A stereo mix of Penny Lane with the additional David Mason picolo trumpet solo added back in was included on the US Rarities compilation in 1980, and is included on an alternate take of the song released on Anthology 2 in 1996.

the Capitol promo of "Penny Lane" has the ending with the piccolo trumpet, the only version that has it..found a copy of it on ebay for $66...this was the version that they played on the radio in 1967, but the horn was not on any album version, thought that I was hearing things as a kid, but sure enough, found it.. I am sure many of you already know this but thought that I would post it anyway. This is not a video I made, so I don't take responsibility for the quality.
