For those don't know, RAW's persona was based on this guy. He wasn't actually 80 years old, unless he was actually his ghost.
I enjoyed his references to being him, my favourite was when he mentioned his relationship with his wife "until death took him away from her". Funny guy. Shame he hasn't been around more.

Abstaining in this vote though.

Anyways Robert Anton Wilson had one of the most bombastic yet fascinating user personas, with a great sense of humor, kind of hard to tell where he was coming from (was he really 80 or just a very theatrical teenager?), but never dull when he was around. TracyJacks is one of the best users, always outgoing and having something to say, never a bad word for anybody.

And in a match like this, along with others, what would one vote over another really say?

Robert Anton Wilson was(is?) one of the most fascinating characters that BEA has ever seen. His whole persona was amazing. I think Tracy is great too and would probably not vote if this wasn't so lopsided, but I'll give a hand to the underdog here. A mysterious character indeed.

I think I came around when the raw guy started posting less. I saw some of his posts and also a handful of drunk threads by him, and he really seemed like a great person to have around. But I know Tracy better (if still not that much either), and she's a wonderful presence here, very enthusiastic and genuine. And although her tastes could definitely be expanded (but which ones couldn't?), her passion for psych pop/rock is irresistible. She gets my vote.

I'm guessing a lotta newer members don't remember or never encountered Robert? an intensely funny man with no nastiness in him at all (just a lot of alcohol). TracyJacks is a really delightful user (Mercury's perversions aside) so I don't mind seeing her win this.

Also, her taste in music is nice enough, 60s and 70s rock and cool psychedelic stuff. She also is always interested in exploring new music which is good.

RAW on the other hand, something's wrong there. I once figured out that he is totally lieing about his age. I think he claimed he saw Elvis perform when he was very young, like 6. Well, if he was speaking of the Ed Sullivan performance we're talking 1956 I think. That means he was born 1950. I will give him leeway because maybe he was off on his estimates and he was 9 - so he was born between 47 and 50. He claims to be 81 or 82. And he has spoken of how ancient and old his body is. But that would mean he is about 65-68.

And anyway, his music taste is basically very boring to me. And I haven't seen him around in forever.

So, EASILY TracyJacks.

I'm sure Robert is a decent enough person, but TracyJacks is so likable that it makes this round easy for me.
