Didn't even see the 4 pages of discussion... when I saw the matchup, I imagined all the angst it would cause. 😨

I like them both, but Drake is a little more impactful to me. Give Newsom a few years, she may surpass him.

Joanna Newsom is pretty boring for me to sit through. However, I had a friend ask me to give Joanna (the specific album he asked about was Ys) a genre and I'd have to admit that she's special in the sense that her music is something else (progressive folk is the best I could come up with at the time. Of course, I don't constantly listen Joanna Newsom or music like her's, but it's Ok when I do).

Nick Drake is just genius.

How one can find Joanna Newsom to be a goddess and consider Joni Mitchell to be 'shitty folk pop' I'll never know. I'll keep that judgmental, presumptuous opinion to myself, though I'm sure most of you are already thinking it.
