As I'm staring defeat in the face, I'd like to bow out with grace as opposed to a rant about what a bunch of f***wits you all are for not voting for me. I'd like to thank my wife, my agent (that'd be Brandon bigging up my charts on the Chart Talk thread) and my campaign manager Hayden (who has been no help whatsoever. But cheers for the nom fella).

Good luck to the Squishy one for the rest of the tourney. He's fair dinkum.

Back to pontificating about dub.

Peace and rice and peas

Actually got a bit emotional reading some of these comments, especially Antonio's. You sentimental bastards. I'm also glad to see noWaxJim's brilliance hasn't gone unnoticed. For those who aren't familiar, every good thing written about him here is true. His charts are gold.

Ah, that brings back memories. One of the first records I ever bought on vinyl. 'Pumpkin Belly' is legitimately one of my top ten favourite reggae songs. Big up to Jim for always promoting the ragga, nice to know there are a few of us here that do.

It's a great record. I've got you and Jim to thank for leading me into the good stuff.

Both gave me really fantastic recs today. I'd glad sacrifice my spot in the tournament for the loser of the matchup.

Yeah, this is a really hard one...

I'm going with NoWax because he's already taken me to school a few times. 🤣

EDIT: Score! I just saw that NoWax is buying votes. I'll be waiting for that rec NoWax! Chicago politics at it's best.

Jim is dead informed about music, and one day I fully intent to leap into his Twee chart.

However, as you'll know I value entertainment over knowledge. And Squishy, from the BEAluminatti saga to Besteverville, is one of the most entertaining people on here. So, I vote Dave.

Yuck. Even though I've only just recently become acquainted with Jim, he is easily one of the most interesting and informed users I've encountered. His contributions in the history thread are awesome and his charts are filled with gems. I can't vote against him.

Squishy doesn't like to talk about music, but I'll be damned if he isn't still one of the most interesting users on the site. I love his sense of humor and his creativity. I can't vote against him either.

Abstain.

Yeah, these are my thoughts too. Really can't decide between the two.

noWaxJim has been one of the absolute best sources for music recs. His Jamaican chart is a treasure trove. And his tastes are eclectic enough to provide something for pretty much anyone.

Against pretty much anyone else, I'm voting for Squishy. He brings a really creative sense of humor to the forums. His Sims thread is epic and his interviews were insightful.

But, at the core, this is a music site and noWaxJim has been one of my main sources for new stuff, so he gets the vote.

Dammit hard match... both users I like so much, both charts are amazing....
but gotta go with squishy
one of my inspirations here
If there is a post from him I don't miss
because I know that something great is coming, maybe a great time reading, maybe some laughs
What a big and strange and creative and percepting mind
squishy.

I haven't got a snowball's chance in hell of winning this. But cheers for the love.

In a last-ditch effort to sway your opinion and as part of my campaign manifesto, a personalised rec from the deepest recesses of my record collection for anyone that votes for me, along with a personal message of thanks from yours truly (one coming your way Brandon... 😁 )

Vote for Jimmy, innit.

(Buying votes since 1997)

Although these are two of my favourite users, I gave my vote to noWaxJim. He may be my favourite user ever.

nowaxjim is one of the most intelligent people here music wise. He's probably the guy who I like the musical commentary of the best. Compare that to Squishy, who may be the funniest guy here. Damn.

Vote to squishy only for The Sims, but this is tough.
