I'm pleasantly surprised to see these land as high as they did. I didn't know Blind Willie Johnson even had a following here. I certainly highly recommend his recordings to those who haven't already checked him out.

Seriously, though, it's a great song that didn't quite make my list. Certainly worth celebrating even if only for its social significance.

Overall, I'm happy about the number of instrumental jazz numbers that made it, considering how many great ones there were from this period. Five of these were on my list and all are worthy, IMO.

ctrl + f doesn't really work very well if you spell "Mingus" as "Mignus", as it turns out ...

Yeah, that shocked me. He got votes on several different songs but not consensus on any. Praying "Suspicious Minds" makes the 60's list 🙏

Wish I'd saved my list. All I know is that none of the Charlie Parker I voted for made it ... nor Nat "King" Cole 🤔 Also I know I had another Chuck Berry on there. Also really nothing off Mingus Ah Um? 🤔 🤔 🤔 Like most of it I get but Goodbye Porkpie Hat is a classic ... I'm actually pretty surprised at this list.
